Zoom In
Use this tool to magnify an area. Click and hold to draw a box
around the area to zoom to a specific site. Or, to zoom in by default, click
the area you want to magnify and the system will redraw the map at a closer
increment.
Zoom Out
Use this tool to move back from an area. Click on area to redraw
at larger increment.
Previous View
Returns to the last map view.
Full View
Shows the full map area of the entire county.
Pan
Moves the map in all directions.Click and hold and move the mouse up,
down, left, right, or any direction. Pulls the map in that direction.
Identify
Shows attributes (characteristics) of that point in an a layer. Identify
shows the characteristics of an layer that is currently active. Make sure
the active button is filled in for the layer you would like to see.
Find
Finds a place in the map of the active layer. For instance, use it to find
a road that you know the name of. You must make the layer active that you
want to find an attibute for.Find is case sensitive. For finding road names,
please use all caps.For finding property numbers use R in front of the
number for Wasington County, and A in from on the numer for Gillespie county. Go
to http://www.txcountydata.com
to find the R (residence number for Washington) or the A (abstract number
for Gillespie).
Print
Print a 8 ½ x 11 copy of the map view to your printer.
